yes, we've looked at that URL and gone through all that....

 

Is there any reason why it would be bad to connect boss directly to expt AND ctrl then remove the crossover between expt and ctrl?   This would go against the "recommended" setup, but it seams like it should work just fine....

 

Do you have a phone # we could call you on?

This might answer some of these questions, or at least keep you busy
until I (or more likely, someone else) understands your message. Once
we get down into switch configuration land, I usually bow out until
the next software problem.

Sorry I can't send the direct output, it is on a secure network with
out any direct output connection and we can't use a USB stick or
floppy or anything to copy files from the testbed.

Indeed, we usually tell people in this situation to construct their
first emulab outside the walls so that we can help, and then move it
inside.
