Hello, I was wondering whether any of you has already studied the behavior
of Dummynet in terms of queue size. I have noticed that the queue has 50 slots
in the pipe from the node to the network but 2 slots in the pipe from the
network to the node, in case of a LAN. This seems to be a problem when configuring
an experiment with a 100Mbps LAN where some nodes are connected at 10Mbps. Because
of the 2 slots queue, there are many drops in traffic going to the 10Mbps nodes.
Thus, the results are not realistic and I have to upgrade the queue size to a
higher value. Why is the default value for the queue 2 slots? Should I
leave it like this or is there a better size in some cases? Thank you and regards, -- Andrés |
