Re: [Testbed-admins] Question about update MFS

Just by the clue of Hussam, I checked the webpage "edit node info" on the
left corner and compared it with my succeed free nodes. I found I could
modify the three booting OS to any value I like. And I indeed made the
modification of "default booting OS" to customized image and "next booting
OS" to none and "temp booting OS" to none. Then, free the machine again. It
passed! Looks I do not understand the rules inside the adding and loading
processes.

What's more interested to me is that some time I could modify the "edit node
info" to let the machine boot directly into a OS image. And I can see the
reloading project appeared some wired information like "waitPXE". But
anyway, it finally worked.

So one more question, is there any process specification or explanation for
my trouble? I just made some unpredictable operation and am still guessing
the rules inside.

But thanks anyway to all you guys!

Ah, thanks for pointing that out! Maybe I'm trying to solve the wrong
problem.
I was assuming we were still solving the "cannot load disk" error which was
caused by not finding the disk. That would explain a lot.

So lets synch up here again:

If you boot the frisbee MFS, does it report "da0: ..." when it boots?
If so, login to the console as root, and run "/etc/tmcc loadinfo" and
see if it reports anything. If not, look at the tail of
boss:/usr/testbed/log/tmcd.log and see if there is an error message.
