Dogs in NYC
Hi All,
As with everything there are always those who have to try to alarm and
scam... Please read the entire post at the bottom are addresses for
contributions that will get to where they are needed.
Begin forward:
I have been going to CACC (NYC shelter) since they opened. In all
my
years of rescue from this shelter, I have NEVER seen what was
witnessed
yesterday.
Cars were double-parked up and down the block on 110th Street.
Inside
the shelter, the lobby was completely FULL with people dropping off
animals.
This is a hoax. Please be very careful about who you send money to!

This has been provided by the ASPCA, National Shelter Outreach.
There are some serious false rumors actively being passed around
regarding the Center for Animal Care and Control in New York City. They
are NOT being bombarded with animal relinquishments due to people
"leaving the NYC area" and WTC disaster situations.
In FACT, CACC adoptions are UP and animal relinquishments are DOWN! The
reason that there are cars double-parked at their 110th Street facility
is because their administrative offices are closed and they have extra
staff and volunteers at that facility.
CACC, like the ASPCA, has established a Disaster Relief Fund.
