The following disk images were developed primarily for experimentation with the BBN UAV OEP, but should be useful for experiments involving other software as well. To use one of these disk images in an experiment, simply name it as the operating system for a node, for example:

The UAV-RHL73-STD disk image is based on Emulab's standard Red Hat Linux 7.3 disk image (RHL73-STD), but includes several additional/updated RPMs and other software needed for working with the BBN UAV OEP software.

The disk image does not include ACE, TAO, QuO, or the UAV software itself. It is assumed that users will want to load their own custom versions of this software. Therefore, users will need to make these packages available to their experiment nodes in other ways: for example, by using copies stored in NFS-mounted group directories (such as /groups/pces/uav_oep) or by loading the packages onto the nodes via commands such as tb-set-node-tarfiles.

The updated RPMs and software in the UAV-RHL73-STD image is described in the table below.
