Hello again,
I loaded a freebsd 7.1 live cd and captured
the information on the NICs that I needed as follows:
nfe0: <NVIDIA nForce MCP55 Networking Adapter>
port 0xa400-0xa407 mem 0xfdcf6000-0xfdcf6fff,0xfdcfa800-0xfdcfa8ff,0xfdcfa400-0xfdcfa40f
irq 22 at device 8.0 on pci0
miibus0: <MII bus> on nfe0
e1000phy0: <Marvell 88E1149 Gigabit PHY> PHY 16 on miibus0
e1000phy0: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 1000baseTX-FDX,
auto
nfe0: Ethernet address: 00:e0:81:48:f8:42
....
nfe1: <NVIDIA nForce MCP55 Networking Adapter> port 0xa080-0xa087
mem 0xfdcf5000-0xfdcf5fff,0xfdcfa000-0xfdcfa0ff,0xfdcf4c00-0xfdcf4c0f irq
23 at device 9.0 on pci0
miibus1: <MII bus> on nfe1
e1000phy1: <Marvell 88E1149 Gigabit PHY> PHY 17 on miibus1
e1000phy1: 10baseT, 10baseT-FDX, 100baseTX, 100baseTX-FDX, 1000baseTX-FDX,
auto
nfe1: Ethernet address: 00:e0:81:48:f8:43
I found this page: http://www.f.csce.kyushu-u.ac.jp/~shigeaki/software/freebsd-nfe.html
Which details a kernel patch for freebsd
6 series.
How would I go about installing this
for the freebsd62.newnode and freebsd62 mfs? Can I have the kernel
config file that was used for them?
Thanks,

Node MFS
When you login, can you run "dmesg" and
send us that? Then we will know if
it is just the interface that is unknown or maybe the bus. Also,
if you can
run "pciconf -lv" and send that.
