Puppy inquiries and digest news

My goodness... lots of news this morning!

Judy, who have you got coming along in your show lines? I've had some
interest in Boomer once folks get a look at him, and would like to be able
to refer to you if I could?

Gina thanks for your kind words on Buster's behalf. I'll pass them along to
Deb. I know death is not your topic this season for sure and didn't want to
make you hurt any further, but did want to tell you guys about Buster and
draw on the strength of this list.

Ilene how's the baby girl doing this morning?

Sophie's heading in for a look see at that pad cut this evening. It's sure
not healing cleanly and although she doesn't seem lame she's so stoic I want
to make sure it's going to be ok. I have a feeling they'll have to sedate
her and remove the upper portion of the pad. What a nasty cut this was and I
still have no idea how she cut it or in which portion of the fields we were
running in.

Positive training! The only way to go IMHO! I have not jerked or popped a
dog since the disaster with Rosie. The Janice DeMillo (sp?) method was the
first way I ever learned about training, and although it is taking me longer
to train now with positive methods the results are so much nicer. I have
willing dogs who enjoy competition and who certainly enjoy messing with my
head DURING competition, lol.

That's all the news from Alaska, it's cold, I have a cold, and I hate snow
although if we'd get enough to cover the leaves I didn't rake up this fall
I'd feel less guilty (g)
