Well, I'm just a lousy photographer, but attached are two pictures from our
recent 3 night stay at Cold Springs Resort in Camp Sherman. This place is
about 100 miles due east from Corvallis, along highway 20, about 10 miles
before you get to Sisters. A fabulous place to take a long weekend. The
place we stayed had these little cabins, some of which takes dogs if you
arrange in advance. We had a very nice cabin near the river. Its supposed
to be a fly fishing meca, but we were there for the hiking and the time
away from the backyard irrigation and landscaping project thats been
ongoing for about 3 weeks now. Torrey and Maple had a great time. Tons of
running off lead and jumping in the (safe parts) of the Metolious. The
river is rather cold and very fast moving, but right near the cabins it
opens up and is only about 1 foot deep. Torrey was in heaven. Maple took
one uncontrolled run down the river and was thereafter kept on a 20 foot
lunge line so we could reel her back in. Her first trip down she jumped in
after Torrey, and luckily, as she floated down, bumped right into him on
the bank side. Torrey swimming to the bank pushed her over and we grabbed
her. After that we would let her float down with Torrey and then would pull
back into the bank. Torrey, well he is a wonderfully strong and agile dog
and it was great to watch him having so much fun. Float down the river, run
back up to us, and jump right back in again.

Anyway, here are two lousy pictures!
