Boomer's first turkey neck
Morning all from the land of 'it finally quit raining'
I'm not sure who all is deciding to transition to BARF with the pups, but I
did want to share that this morning I fed Boomer his first RMB. Now, granted
it wasn't much, just the 5" narrow end of a tom turkey neck but ho boy did
this puppy go to town on that neck piece! I sat by just in case I needed to
fish it out of his gullet but no need as he spent 45 mins gnawing, chewing
and pulling the meat off, and then crunched through the bones like there was
no tomorrow.
So, we've begun and I thought to tell you guys in case you were wondering if
you wanted to begin as well. I broke up a 30lb case of turkey necks
yesterday and found several nice narrow ends for Boomer in there and set
them aside so now I'll give GYDB another read and I think we're off and
running.
He's grown again overnight I swear. Yesterdays 13.5lbs won't stay that way
long. Betcha he's close to 17lbs by the time the 23rd rolls around (2nd shot
day)
Hope all is well with everyone,
Debs
