Okay
now time for Milka brag! Although it really seems to be a Brier Golden
brag because they are all so wonderful. We've taken Milka the last few
weekends to the Potomac River where there are tons of paths and lots of people
and dogs. Everyone stops to admire Milka. One guy even took a
picture of her even though he had his own Golden. I actually started
feeling bad for all the other dogs because all the owners were oogling over
Milka. Several people at Petsmart even asked to trade their dog for
mine!
Milka
is still doing private lessons and we have another one next week. We
decided to do that and then she goes to group classes at 6 months. Glad to
hear about everyone else's trials and tribulations with "come."
Milka definitely comes when she decides to come.
We
have tons more pictures but I need to get Carl to put them up. I'd love to
see photos of the rest of the Casino gang!!!
Also,
question, should I trim Milka's hair under her paw? The books say yes but
just wanted to confirm from the experts.
Okay so I have to do some bragging as well.
Lola is graduating from puppy kindergarten this Thursday. It has been
so much fun. She is absolutely adorable in class. She like the
other puppies but she is much more interested in the puppy owners. She
sits so pretty just waiting for them to give her a treat or a love.
Lola has learned many commands and a couple of tricks (she can spin and
crawl). Lola comes only when she wants to. It is definitely the
command we need the most work on.
Lola is doing just great. She still has never
woke us up in the middle of the night and she gives us the signal when it's
time to go potty. Our friends can not believe how good she
is. I seem to keep giving the Brier name and web site out to
people we meet because everyone wants a Brier Golden.
Lola loves ice cubes as well. They make her
so happy. (okay I guess just about anything makes her happy).
She also loves going in the car. We take her everywhere on the
weekends with us. She is a great car dog. She likes to look out
the window and watch the world go by.
Hope everyone else is doing well with their lovable
puppies,
Andrea

brierpups Subject: Katie's a hit
Hi all -
It's time for a Katie brag :-) We
started a regular puppy class about three weeks ago. Tonight we
were passing the puppies so everyone got to work with all the puppies -
doing sit and down. Afterwards I had about 5 people come up to me
and say they wanted to take Katie home with them! I guess she's a
true Brier golden! She's pretty funny in the class. We start
each class with the puppies playing and we call our puppies every so
often and give them a treat. Well tonight Katie decided
"forget playing - if I just go up to the people and stare at
them, I'll get a treat". I think next week I'm going to ask
people not to feed her..... The class is fun, and Katie's pretty much
ahead of the game after doing the clicker class. But we're
learning new things and it's great to be with a bunch of puppies.
Hope everyone is well and I miss hearing from folks.
Peggy
PS Katie LOVES ice cubes, and I'm not
sure how many it's ok for her to have. Any
suggestions?
