I know this list is about Goldens but thought I'd just share with anyone
that may have lost any family member or colleague in what happened today my
sympathy.

DC was in a state of alert today.  I heard of the news of the World Trade
Center and Pentagon crashes as I drove to my office which is at 16th and P
Streets--several blocks from the White House.  We could see the Pentagon
smoke from one end of our building but we're on the other side of the river
and so not that close.  There were people running from my building when the
news went out that DC buildings were being shut down--it was like something
out of a movie.  I ended up staying at work rather than get on the roads and
drive back home when everyone was in a panic.  Jet fighters flew above our
building all afternoon.  It was absolutely unbelievable.
