RE: Birthday Cake.

HAPPY B-DAY TO GOLDIE AND SEAJAY!

My trip was great, thank you.  Although after only 4 days back in the office, I feel like I need another vacation already.  Well, we'll have a Casino pup before too long and I'm SO excited!

Have a happy day, Karin

Hi Karina, nice to hear from you, how's your trip?
This is the recipe for a birthday cake I founded in a doggie cook book, and I copied from the book " Let's Cook For Our Dog", I think We'll eat some too!! Today is Goldie birthday and Seajay birthday.

Birthday Cake.

Cake flour..........................1 cup
Baking powder...................1 1/2 tsp.
Garlic powder.....................1/4 tsp.
Shortening, softened............1/4 cup.
Sugar (required in a cake recipe)
Egg........................................1
Milk........................................1/2 cup.
Liver pate (for "icing)..............3 tbsp.

Sift flour and measure. Resift with baking and garlic powder.
In a mixing bowl, beat shortening until creamy. Add sugar gradually, beating well. Add egg and beat until the creamed mixture is light and fluffy. Add milk, alternating with the flour mixture, to the shortening mixture one-third at a time, ending with the flour. Stir after each addition until the mixture is smooth. Place in a 10x15 in. (25x38 cm, 1.2 L) pan or 6 greased muffin tins. Bake at 350* F (180* C ) for about 25 to 30 minutes. Cool and "ice" with liver pate. Cut into 6 equal parts.

Be sure to sing Happy Birthday before serving this cake. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDS!"

Have a great day...
Patti.
