Emigration Canyon

Elevation Profile

Details

In contrast to City Creek, Emigration has very little going for it. It is close to the University (2.7 miles), is the flattest of all the canyons, and often times has a tail-wind up the canyon. However, it is largely unshaded, there is lots of traffic, and the road below Crompton's is in horrible shape. The stretch from Crompton's to the summit is a good ride. From the east end of the Hogle Zoo parking lot to the summit of Little Mountain is about 7.8 miles and 1310 vertical feet.

My P.R. is 38:30.
