If this is *just* for the newnode MFS - the newnode MFS is just a convenience - it'll help you enter some data about your nodes, where they are connected to switches, etc. If you're just adding a few nodes (as I suspect BBN is...) it's possible to enter this information manually, and this might be less work than spending time fighting with drivers.

If you are installing dozens or hundreds of machines, of course, then the tradeoff is probably favors getting the MFS working.
