We got it setup, but then the "first project" stuff wasn't there, so we backed up "step -1" and reran boss-install, but some remnants of elabman are still left behind, the user # keeps incrementing, we can edit the /etc/passwd file, but that seams like a hack. how do we completely remove the user from the database? should we delete tbdb then rerun boss-install?
So, you need to have elabman in the system or things will not work. At this point, deleting the database and rerunning boss-insall will break. The install assumes a particular order of operations. Did you add your own users with a uid above 6000? That will break things for Emulab, which wants to control the uid space above it. Once you get the password file fixed up, you will fine in the future as long as you make sure to add your users via Emulab Start/Join project. Lbs
