OOOOPPPPSSSS!!! (Re: DiTTo & George DID IT!!!!!!)

Ok, before everyone thinks we've gone off the DEEP edge and thinks we are totally INSANE (no comment, please Gina) - VBG!!!  This message was in my "out-box" on Rick's lap-top from our vacation last summer in CA.  We tried to send e-mail the conventional way & it did not work with the ISP... now, we used a temporary dial-up through a new temporary AOL account (we are currently at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Anaheim) and I signed on and didn't realize that this message was still in my unsent outbox.  Oh bizarre!  Anyhow, so this isn't a total waste... it is a bit off topic, here is a synopsis of our trip so far that I sent to a couple of work buddies back home:

(we just got back from spending the day at California Adventure)

Greetings from Anaheim,

We left AZ Saturday morning.  Destination = fun/thrills!  Arrived in Valencia, CA last night!  Awoke early this morning and opened the park @ Six Flags - Magic Mountain.  NINE roller coasters later, we are SORE!  But, WOW - what fun!  And we didn't even imbibe in ALL OF THE EXTREME thrill rides!  :-)  With rides with names of the likes of "Psyclone", "Scream", "Viper", "Goliath", "The Riddlers Revenge", "Revolution", etc...  you can imagine!  Some of the thrills we were delivered were a 78 foot cobra roll, a zero 'g' roll, a 128 foot vertical loop, speeds up to 85 MPH, heights on the coasters of up to 235 feet tall, double dips, double & triple vertical loops, heartline spins, interwoven corkscrews, hairpin drops, amazing helixes & massive positive g's!  Whoaaaa....  and that is on a small bit!  Too much fun & one place I'm ready to go back to again SOON!

After 4 hours at the park & time to hop back in the Expedition & head back south on I-5 for Anaheim.  Ask Rick, I'm terrified of driving on the freeways in the Los Angeles area!  Today was HEAVY traffic & it was Sunday... go figure!  But, for once I did not grab onto the "JC" handles in the car... this was likely due to the fact that I'd been duly primed by the rides earlier and now the Southern California highway system didn't seem quite as intimidating as it had just yesterday!

Tomorrow we do Disneyland, then California Adventure...  (I imagine "tame" compared to today).  Then Friday morning we are off to VEGAS to hook up with good friend Andrea & her brother Jeffrey for 3 days & nights of extreme fun at the Venetian!  There is an even more extreme coaster called the "Desperado" at the Stateline in Nevada that we are dragging Andrea to, it is supposed to be more X-TREME then the ones we just went on.  And for Valentine's evening, we are going to the Elton John concert with Andrea & her brother in Vegas!  YEAH!

Ok, so this didn't get sent yesterday, it is now Monday & we've just finished Disneyland for the day...  we've walked like 10 miles in two days - so we are off to do a much need spa!  Tomorrow is California Adventure...  Seems hard to imagine that here I am, 43 years old & I've never been to Disneyland until now!  Fun to be a "kid" again!  :-)

We miss our kids... but are having too much fun!
