RE: A special tribute
HI Yanna
Well that's good! Glad the girls and Elwood could help you feel at
"home"! You would have loved being here yesterday, we had
blue sky and no rain!
I am doing okay but I am still having melt downs, it's been a while since
we lost a dog and we had only lost one old dog - Gambler my first
golden... Just a sample of the silly kinds of melt downs one can
expect to have when they loose a dog especially an old dog. You
have to find the humor in this though or it's a melt down all in it's
self:
- I had a serious melt down last night over the girls. I had to
cut up a tomato for dinner and for 14 years Kaycee has always eaten the
end pieces - she just loves tomatoes or she did love them. I also
made this a ritual for Punch too, who also though this was very
special... When the dog's gathered around the kitchen counter (as
usual) and I started cutting on the tomato and all hell broke loose -
major crying, choking, I barely could get through it. I have to
find a positive with this but this is going to be a hard one. So I
guess for a while we just will not be eating fresh tomatoes - no big deal
as they are so expensive right now anyway... Poor George, he loves
fresh tomatoes! Oh well :-)
