First off Happy Belated Birthday to Jake aka Boof. :-) And yes Yanna it is
hard to believe that Jake is 6 already - with Chelsea right behind him in
what a week or two? =8-}
Yes it has been ultra busy here with dogs events, lot's of comings and
goings that is for sure! But there was a major "pay off" yesterday that I
am more proud of than any other event report ever which includes I am way
more proud of this than a Champion of Record:
DiTTo passed her first leg of her Junior Hunter yesterday!!! Hip hip
Hooray!!!
And her scores were way above average. Out of a possible 10 in the 5 areas
they are judged on while doing their work DiTTo received all 8's and
9's. 7 is average and Judges will sore up or down from there on how well
the dog does. (final tally has to come up to a 7 to qualify and 10 is the
highest score a dog can get) With her 8's and 9's we were in the top 10 of
44 dogs in the running. This is a HUGE accomplishment for any dog - let
alone a SHOW GOLDEN. These are not the dogs you normally see out doing
this kind of work and they are often judged unfairly due to being what they
are... I can't tell you the razzing we got all week end from those that
saw DiTTo "prissy dog" before they saw her run! All in fun the razzing and
all in astonishment when she ran and standing ovation when we were called
to get our placement rosette! :-) That's one for the BREED!!!!! :-))
