Hi all,
I went to this website, as I had heard about the disease, and also had
experience with it with one of my cockers years ago. Unfortunately, at the
time, the vet specialists that I went to all informed me that my bitch was
having strokes everytime this would happen. She had 3 episodes of this, and
it would slowing inprove, but never get quite back to normal. Then it would
happen again. They checked her ears, and did a lot of other testing, and I
was informed that she was having strokes, and the kindest thing would be to
put her down. Which I ended up doing, because she was a mess. This was back
in 1987, and veterinarians have come a long way. I was so VERY angry when I
found out what she probably had all along, and they had me put her to sleep!
Lyndsey was the first dog I ever finished by myself, and my foundation bitch,
who produced some wonderful champions for me. Not to mention she was a real
sweetheart.
Just thought I would share this with the list. I feel like medicine is still
coming out of the dark ages and into the light!
Good luck Kaycee!
