HI All,

1. My we have been a quiet group!  I wanted to pass this link onto you from

The article in short is about the OFA now coming in line with what the GDC 
said for years, breeders need to be screening vertically in their 
pedigrees.  The sibling information is very valuable in helping to prevent 
breedings that might be of a higher risk at producing disorders.  It's sort 
of technical but might be worth a look...

I also would like to thank you all for being so good about doing 
screening...  Not only do you have peace of mind isn't it nice to know you 
are contributing to the success of the breeds health over all!

2. Up and coming show events:  Linn County Fair Grounds:

A. Friday February 7th in the afternoon, I don't have the set hard times 
yet but if things go as they normally do the Pacific Rim Golden Retriever 
Specialty (only goldens) will start about 1:30.  Our entry this year 
is:  Kaycee in veterans over 10 sweepstakes class and Lucy will show in the 
regular open bitch class.  If anyone would like to come to root Kaycee on 
we would love to see you!  Bring a few dollars too as PRGRCO always has a 
great raffle, lots of neat doggie stuff...  The following days will only be 
Lucy but we would love to see anyone who wants to come, again good shopping 
opportunity too, the vendors at dogs shows have it all!!!!
