puppy update

Just sent this to the list of people getting puppies from TRiX thought some of you might enjoy reading this:

Good Morning Everyone,

Puppies and TRiX are doing wonderful, and the web site is back up after being down for two days for some unknown reason (unknown to me). I will get some more pictures up today of everyone, but I did put up the one I sent you all.

Here is the collar sex order and weights as of the 28th of October:

Green/boy: 1pound 9 ounces
Lavender/ girl: 15 ounces ( 10/29 1 pound)
Orange/girl: 1 pound 5 ounces
Pink/girl: 1 pound 5 ounces
Gold/boy: 1 pound 5 ounces
Aqua/boy: 1 pound 4 ounces
White/girl: 1 pound 6 ounces
Silver/boy: 1 pound 7 ounces

The Lavender girl is smaller than everyone else, she IS NOT a "runt" (so you all know that word is very offensive to breeders :-) she is actually more appropriate in size that the rest of the porkers... She is nursing with great gusto, and very physical, in fact she is the strongest puppy in the litter by virtue of her ability to move around better than the rest of the pork bellies. :-) Average weight at birth for my puppies is about one pound, and I don't normally see more than a couple of ounces in weight gain in the first 3 days. Not knowing what these guys weighed until they were 2 days old handicaps my ability to say what exactly is going on here, other than to say TRiX has big puppies! It could be the raw feeding, more robust puppies due to the fact that TRiX is now second generation raw fed here at Brier. For comparison here are the stats on the litter DiTTo came from (Gidget to SeaJay)

As you can see they were all much more in range of Lavender. Anyway I will keep you all posted, and would love to hear from each of you as you have time. Looks like go home is going to be the 21st of December!!!
