Woobie killing (was Introduction)
Hi Karin,
Maple is Rocket's sister and she also loves shredding, but Torrey
does not shred and loves to hold wobbies in his mouth, and carry them
around. He always looks so happy with one crammed in his mouth about
as far as possible. The other problem is that Maple always wants what
Torrey has, and Torrey usually just gives it up. So how do we handle
it... Well, for the most part, woobies stay out of reach and are a
supervised toy, because Maple will also eat the stuffing. We'll give
it to Torrey to play with for a while, they will usually play
tug-of-war for a bit, then Maple will get it and start shredding, then
it goes back away. Sometimes we sneak it to Torrey when Maple is not
paying attention, so he can hold it for a while. If we feel Torrey
really needs his Woobie for a while, we can put Maple in her crate
(Maple loves her crate and stays in it a good part of the day and
night with the door open).
For now this is the only thing that works for us. Maybe one day Maple
will not shred, but I doubt it.
