Re: Alaska we are home!
I'm sorry for Sam, but those things happen. You are a great groomer, so
that was a combination of different matters, may be some mosquitos bites
too. You didn't get any Alaska mosquitos bites? Shame on you. what did
you bring home as a souvenir from Alaska? "SMILE" I'm just
kidding. But I'm not kidding when I say you are a great dog groomer. Yo
groomed Goldie and Diablo, and they were Gorgeous.
Ah that explains the lumps on my legs! Yes I must have brought home
a few souvenirs... I was also all allergies while I was up
there. Nose and eyes were just a mess, worse than here when the
cottonwoods bloom or the hay is cut.... Ahh ahhh choo... Very
little chance *I* will ever move to AK...
Update on Sam is that while grooming may have helped along the staph
infection it's also on other unrelated body parts so chances are what
ever had already started and was not acute until Sunday. Poor
little guy is covered head to toe. Katherina called last night and
filled me in on what all is up. So Sam is on a watch for sensitive
skin and we hope this is an isolated incident .
Has anyone with a SeaJay Gidget puppy had a hot spot or staph
infection? I would like to know as to me this is important
information for my breeding program.
Here related dogs, no one has, ie: None: Kaycee, Sprite, Scarlette,
SeaJay. Gidget had one once but I know that was related to
grooming, or lack there of. We had her to the beach and put her in
a crate damp after washing her and in the AM she had a hot spot behind
her ear. It does not take much to end up with a hot spot in some
cases, even dogs who are not prone to them.
So again summer tip, dry them off and make sure behind the ears are kept
trimmed....
