Hi All,

Due to some posts I wrote to our private list, "Brier Pups" being gleaned off of the archives by an old subscriber now a non subscriber for quite some time, who shared information with others causing me some personal grief, I have asked Leigh to change the address for the archives.  Once the address has been changed I will send out a post with the new address and I do not want this address being shared with anyone please.  If we have another incident we may need to go to passwords and I really don't want to add steps, several of us are challenged enough at net stuff, me included.  I also do not want to move the list to Yahoo, or Smart Groups ect...

Just a reminder here we have very few rules on Brier Pup's and I want to be able to maintain a free open forum where we all feel comfortable sharing, right now I do not feel that comfort.  Being able to share with all of you information about health problems in the breeding program is important to me and should be to you as well.  However when it gets back to me second or third hand that as a direct result of posts I have sent to this list that my breeding program is being trashed due to disclosure of Gidget and SeaJay producing two cases of hip dysplasia out of 20 puppies I feel raped!

For the record on that:  To date of the 20 puppies, 16 have been screened and there are the two yes who are dysplastic but the results otherwise have been quite favorable with the majority of the screenings coming back *EXCELLENT*, I believe there are 8 rated excellent, 1 fair and the rest are rated good.  I am not discounting the HD two but the experts all say that with the others coming back as they have while breeding Gidget to SeaJay again would not be a good idea it does not mean that breeding these two dogs to other dogs will produce the same results.

It's quite unfortunate that people, other breeders, are less educated on disclosure and choose to try to stifle those of us who feel a responsibility to being open about problems.  I won't bow to them but I also don't need to be harassed...

Thanks guys for listening to my rant...
