x-rays and vets

Hi All,

I wanted to share this with you. Seems IIene had a puppy from her whoops litter (Rocket from the Moon litter bred Millie last fall) who the owners vet said was dysplastic and required immediate surgery. IIene asked the people to get a second opinion done by her vet, Dr. Mostosky from MSU. The people were reluctant and not happy with IIene, however they did go ahead and see Dr. Mostosky on IIene's instance. Mos re x-rayed the puppy and just like last week at Aloha with Sophie and Dr. Doug, Dr. M says no HD. Dr. Mostosky btw is the founder of canine x-rays and is married to our Haus breeder. To read a bit about Mos go to: http://www.24kgsd.com/about_us.html

Anyway the whole reason for this post is to say, please please get second opinions when there is any question and know I am always here for all of you on anything. I really do not mean to sound as though I mistrust but sometimes it's hard to trust.... Ever had a bad diagnosis on yourself???

I am still waiting on the GDC x-ray package to come back on all the dogs we sent in on the 10th of April. If anyone has gotten a GDC report on their dog in that group would you please let me know! Also Emma Rose (One litter) in Seaside was x-rayed this week at her vet and all looks good there.

Ok guys, enjoy the Sunshine!

Gina
