Our weekend
Hi All,
As you all know Lucy and I went off to shows up in Olympia this past
weekend. We did okay, placed 2nd out of 3 on Sat. and 1st out of 3 on Sun.
against two pro handlers on Sun. But Lucy was not on, and we did not get
past our class. It's hard to come down from her previous totally awesome
winnings :-) But she is just a puppy and well these were her first away
shows.... AND she had way too much fun at Peggy and Kurt' house:
The best part of the whole weekend! If your ever in Olympia it's a must to
go stay with Peggy and Kurt! The hospitality is beyond description. Their
home is a HOME filled with love and comfort! It was great to spend time
with Katie and Kip. Let me tell you about Kip, she is the most awesome dog
who has just the most wonderful gentle demeanor, she is 17 years old but
acts like oh I would say 5. Can you say stole my heart? I can... Katie
was also a joy to be around in her own environment, she was the perfect
host for Lucy and Punch. I took Punch along for the ride, she had just the
time of her life.... So many toys, oh she just had a great time.... Oh
and then there was Mayshia, <sp> who has got to be the most brain dead cat
I have ever met. he was totally oblivious to the fact that there were
strange dogs in his house. Rubbed up against the dogs like he had known
them since they were puppies took them on a couple of adventures and he
even liked me, till I tried to brush him that was. Tough he did not hold a
grudge came back for more after I gave in on the brushing, he is a long
hair tabby... On the other hand the other feline, Lopez or Joey as he is
called took off and skirted the whole adventure more like a normal cat
would. :-)
All in all it was a very nice weekend... Thanks to Peggy & Kurt for their
hospitality and the towel warmer in the bathroom! Oh my goodness, if you
are in Olympia and need a show, pay Peggy & Kurt to let you use their shower!
