Hi everyone,
Thank you Deb for the link!
Well, I leave for work in the dark and come home in the
dark. Geesh - it's like living in a little Alaska. Winter is
expected to set in here by the end of the week. We've enjoyed a
spectacular fall season and have yet to have snow that sticks.....but I fear
that's going to end really quickly. That means Monza's trolley has to be
put up and I have to find the time to do it or face freezing my fingers &
tush later on.
I ordered thinners - 44/20's and Gina please don't tell me
they're crappy.....hope I did good. Oh, Gina you'll be pleased to hear
that I'm going to break down and thin out a bit of the ear fluff like how Ilene
showed me. Actually, it's getting a little out of hand & I'm
constantly checking to make sure it's not snaggy or remotely near matting.
I don't really care for the neat & trim look over the nail, but I will
definitely keep the fur between the pads trimmed for the winter season.
Yes, go ahead & start prepping me now with stories about how the snow
balls up in their fur. Ugh.
Other than splurging on thinners and new snow tires for
the car, I also purchased an Oreck Steemer. LOVE IT! Can't believe
the hair it picked up and what a great job it did bringing up the nap on the
carpet. Just an FYI if you're in the market for one.
I think Monza's going to get the big snip-a-roo at the end
of the month. I feel absolutely terrible about doing this. You know
he's going to be ticked at me! NOW DON'T LAUGH - I even checked into
Nuticles for him, but Ilene talked me out of them. I stopped by the vet
the other day to weigh him - 55.5 pounds. Don't think I shared with all of
you what he did there? He slimed the sides of their huge aquarium and was
pretty insistent about clawing his way into it to catch the salt-water
fish. The aquarium sits in the middle of a large bench that wraps entirely
around it. Monza's been attracted to it since he was a little tyke &
they told me that they've never seen a dog take after the fish like him.
Great - a fish dog. Now that's my luck!
Monza has what I think is a pigment spot & a
natural identifier on his tongue. It's large, round &
black in the very middle near the end of his tongue.
That's about it from the land of Lake Superior's Gales of
November....
