I am assuming it's the pad that they don't walk on?  Scarlette tore the 
rats out of hers several months ago up in the snow visiting with Riley 
think it was July... Anyway I just kept her from licking it the best I 
could and all just went along beautifully.  I used Bitter Orange for a few 
days and after that she seamed just fine.  I checked her daily for 
infection and never found anything to be concerned about.

One would think that you being an Alaskan would have the remedies for this 
sort of stuff all figured out! <LOL>
