Re: Bell potty training

Mulligan and Hogan both do this- it wasn't hard it was all about being
consistent! Every time we took Mulligan out for a potty we would pick up her
paw, make her ding the bell (which is hooked on a long chain around the
doorknob and hangs at nose level) and then take her out. We had to do this
EVERY TIME we went out, but it took less than two weeks for her to learn the
signal. Hogan does it, because he saw Mulligan do it- I don't know that he
really understands what the bell is for,
but he seems to go out with her and do his thing! However, now that she
knows this little trick- she tries to ding the bell when she just wants to
play outside- we have been upstairs, across the house when the dinging
starts, let me tell you, she will let us know! I did not use treats and she
learned the process pretty quick!
