Well, I cc'd Diane back being she got the first message. Kiss and Arnie.
Well, this is a flash, flash and more flash litter. This is being
co-bred with the stud dog owner and the emphasis here is show. Both mom
and dad are very laid back goldens, and yes, the pet pups will make very
nice dogs to have in a home.
The looks of these puppies will be exciting, but it doesn't excite me
like the Kiefer/Nicki. Both of these dogs are from the old pedigrees.
Gina and I both feel there was a soundness in those dogs that was lost
when breeders tried to get the flash, flash, flash!!! Nicki too, is only
two generations removed from these old timers as I have been using those
old lines myself. Now, even though these are old lines, it doesn't mean
that they look like those old goldens. This is a line that carries mega
head, bone, coat. The type of golden that I fell in love with years ago
and decided that they were the dog for me. Both Kiefer and Nicki have
enough new mixed in there to crate a dog that will also be competitive
in the show ring, with a VERY high history of obedience titles in the
pedigree. From the days when the goldens did it all. This is the
breeding that really excites me. Gina is taking Ember for that reason,
to put some old back into the new. To keep it strong and keep it clean.
Until I found Kiefer, I had thought those dogs were lost forever. I am
so glad that I found Diane and Kiefer and that she has taken such good
care of him! At ten, he looks about six!!

Ok, ok, ok...Now I want to talk about Asoro's!! Come on..please...well I
will anyway. I too wanted a kennel name that was short enough to leave
me room on those blue slips. Being I work in the medical field where
everything is from a latin (or Greek) word, I searched for the latin
word for Golden Retriever. No such word. So Oro is latin for GOLD and
Aso is latin for DOG. So I put them together and got Golden Dog. Well, I
had to reverse them for better pronunciation. Yippee, I told my story to
someone.
