Re: Miss Maple and Other Dogs
Hi, this is a dominance problem with the female lab displaying dominance over
Maple. I don't know how old Maple is, but if she gets right back up, she is
probably okay. The problem may happen later on as Maple gets older. Two
females are ALWAYS worse in their fighting than males are. The male and female
generally get along great. As the domiance issue becomes more important, if
left unmanaged, they may end up deciding on their own who is the stronger of
the two. With females, that can end up very scary with a good possibility that
one or both will be injured. I would definitely keep them apart and hopefully
you can ask the person who owns the lab to correct her when she goes for
Maple. I know Gina will have something to say on this subject, right Gina!!!
