New introduction
Hi, my name is Fran Wooldridge, and yes we have a wonderful Brier girl
who just turned five. As you know her name is Visa which always gets
the comment "and do you have Mastercard at home?" !! Visa is a very
prim and proper lady, quite the princess, until she belches! She is the
constant companion to my five-year-old daughter, Emma who just loves all
dogs. She has the wonderful golden temperment as well as the somewhat
independent personality of a female.
We have two other dogs currently, two whippets, who Visa does not
consider dogs worthy of her attention. She is our alarm dog with the
most sensitive ears I have seen. She can hear a car door slam two doors
down. She sounds like a ferocious wolf until I open the door and then
she is wagging and wanting to kiss everyone. That is if they are still
standing at my door after hearing that horrible sound. But I dont mind,
she will definitely let me know if anyone tries to come in. Although
she is steathily quiet when the raccoons are about in the back yard.
She knows they are there, but cannot see them. She is an avid squirrel
chaser as well. Not that she could catch one, but she has high hopes.
And yes she is a horror regarding eating inappropriate things. So far I
have kept track of an entire web dog collar without the plastic end
pieces, half of a towel, thousands of socks (only the toes though), and
of course many, many pink Barbie accessories! This always makes pooper
scooper time so interesting. Fortunately she has never been sick,
although she did barf up the towel after a day or so. Actually, I did
not realize she was the culprit, I had been accusing my daughters of
cutting it up with the scissors! She must have a cast iron stomach.
Not that we leave things laying around willy-nilly, but she will go out
of her way to find her goodies.
But she is a sweetie and we love her dearly and we thank Gina for
allowing us to keep such a special girl. I am sure I will have more
stories to add in the future and look forward to hearing others.
I am lucky, as I work from my home doing medical transcription, so I am
always with my dogs. Visa is well-known at both of my daughter's
schools. She does not like to be left out of anything!
