Monza update

Hi everyone,

I did the leash trick on Monza about a week ago. The rascal wouldn't stop
pulling while I took him for a walk in the woods next to a lake. There were
way too many new smells & things to see out there to be tranquil in his
mind. The trick worked wonderfully!

We stopped by the vet (one of his favorite places to stop - really....he
loves it there & their big aquarium) this afternoon and I weighed him: 44
pounds. I also picked up some CET toothpaste. I figured I'd have to start
out slowly with the whole idea, though I've been massaging his teeth & gums
to get him acquainted. No problem at all. He sat there and let me brush
all of them with the finger brush. Now this is the dog that when I come out
with a Q-tip and a flashlight, plops down on his side and waits for an ear
cleaning. Yes - I'm beyond careful cleaning his ears....as my vet and I
have talked about.

My mother resurrected my Froggy Box (toy box when I was a tyke) and put
Monza's toys in it. She asked him to get Blue Frog. He went to Froggy,
picked out Blue Frog and brought it to her. A little while later, she
noticed that he had another toy and Blue Frog was gone. She looked around
for it and discovered that he had placed it back in Froggy with the other
toys. HOLY WAH! I'm still not trained to do that kind of stuff - ha!

I'm still searching for some thinning shears. How about those 44/20 or
something or other ones? I suppose it'll come down to me asking my hair
stylist to go and get a pair for me. That'll be the talk of the salon....
