Next?? My sweet boy?? Haha I say. Rocket is strong willed too, Lyn and I
had a conversation about this. I am lucky that he knew right off he was
the low man on the totem pole. His worst, and this is absolute worse
behavior is at meal time. Human meal time. He is so strongly fighting me
on this, I at one point considered that I might be underfeeding him. He
will jump up at the table or into your lap when you are eating. We have
had weeks of little training sessions that this is not allowed. He
finally got it. So, all right, I am not allowed to jump on the table or
in your lap, so I will climb on the back of your chair and reach over
your shoulder.......No kidding. These pups are thinkers! Darn, I hate
when they do that ;)
Just a point of view from me, dogs aim to please. We as the owners just
need to find a way to help them understand what we want. When we don't
do it right, we get pups like Rocket that think they are pleasing us by
doing the same behavior another way. Other then that, he is a real good
boy still, so don't jinx me!
