Re: Torrey and Maple

Hi everyone,

Excellent post about Haus' infarction and his way to betterness! Thanks,
Gina, for sharing the background. Oh, by the way, my mom packaged up the
all of the stuff and since their shop uses UPS, I'd say to be on the
look-out for a brown truck.

About Maple, I thought Monza was throwing his weight around (literally - I
need to stop by the vet & weigh him before the end of the month 'cause he's
a real galoot). I'm so glad you two shared this with us & what to do.
Thank goodness, Monza hasn't figured out he has a voice.

I must tell you that the little dominate creature (as Ilene can attest) has
suddenly become a lover boy within the last week and a half. He wants to
cuddle! He insists on climbing on my lap while I'm at the computer so he
can lean up against me and nestle his head in the crook of my neck. He's
got to be nearing 45 pounds - a bit out of lap dog range! Might he finally
be getting out of his biting rampages?! Ohhhh - I hope so. I've had to be
strong with him, but I think we've really bonded because of it. Perhaps
he's trying to be a lover and flash those baby browns in order to get his
way.....you know this smarty pants litter is capable of trying just about
anything!

He's also grown in the last couple of days, height-wise. He now jumps on
the old picnic table without any grunting. One thing I have noticed this
week is his unwillingness to go into the kennel (wire crate). Food used to
work all of the time. Toys don't either. It gets to the point of me saying
okay buster I'm the boss and you're getting in there one way or another.
Sometimes, I have to either drag him into it or put him on the lead and pull
him. Regardless, I must win.
