up date Haus-new theory

Just home from a visit with Haus.  Meals on wheels went well.  He was vary 
happy to see me but the smell of food was even better.  He was sort of 
sitting up in an alert down position, an improvement from this AM.  His 
pupil in his left eye is more normal.  He actually stood up too sort of!

The new theory is remote but possible that he has an inner ear (middle ear 
infection) that we would not have even known about till he "dropped".  The 
vet says she's not ruling out trauma but neither is she going to rule out 
the ear issue.  So at this point he is being treated with some very heavy 
duty antibiotics that work on the brain and steroids for inflammation of 
his nerves. He may come home for observation this evening as there is no 
one at the clinic at night but will go back to the vet in the AM.  Anyone 
what to come help lift?  Heave Ho 70#  puppy. Vet also want's him in the 
whelping box as she feels he needs more length than the 500 kennel 
provides.  He does too he is in a run at the vet that is 6 ft long and he 
can just about stretch nose to extended rear legs end to end.

Gorge is home with a patch on his eye.  There was a metal saving in his eye 
which is now out and he will recover just fine.
