Rocket & Monza - Michigan bro's
Hi everyone,
Ilene, Brianne, Rocket and the rest of the troop made it over the Big Mac
(the suspension bridge)!
It's been raining here since a few minutes after they arrived. Not the best
weather to say the least - especially when RVing, tenting, and keeping the
furry ones looking mighty nice.
Brianne took pictures of Monza and Rocket smelling each other over! She
also was able to get one with both of them facing the camera - a feat in &
of itself! I was soooooo incredibly excited for this moment and wouldn't
you know Monza copped this aloof attitude and wouldn't have a thing to do
with Rocket. Poor Rocket - he's such a mannerly, little gentleman.
Meanwhile, Monza only wanted to sniff out the place and explore everything.
How do they compare? I'm sure Ilene can describe this a whole lot better
than me. I'll prompt her to write when she gets home. Just some
observations quickly made last night:
1. Monza's much curlier but I ruffle blew dry him night before last, so
they might have close to the same curl.
2. They're very close in size. I think Ilene said Monza might be shorter
length-wise?
3. Their faces are definitely different with Monza having more of an
abrupt nose. Then again the way he's growing all of this could change
tomorrow!
4. Rocket is overall quite a bit lighter (thank you Gina! you knew I
wanted darker!).
5. Strength....well, Ilene was very surprised at how strong Monza is.
Tell me about it! I think Monza has more weight and muscle definition?
6. Calm and collective - Rocket wins this category hands down! He's a
very, very nice little boy. Ilene's probably going to choke over that
comment....but, really he was!
My parents tracked down Ilene and the rest last night. They were almost
more excited than me to see the little RocketMan. Dad and Kiss (one that
Ilene or maybe Brianne's entering today, I think?) completely hit it off.
My parents think Kiss is absolutely gorgeous and extremely well-mannered.
I've got them rooting for her today!
Yesterday afternoon I was asked to provide on-site medical for the show (to
people, not the dogs....I hope). I'll give you updates later - I think
they're on for around 1:30 or 2:00pm Eastern time.....so, keep 'em in your
thoughts! Meanwhile, I'm hoping Monza and Rocket will do some playing!
