Re: upset tummies

Hi All,
Gina, said some of us have been quiet lately. Guess that would apply to me.

Ruby Rose is also going through the chew-everything-in-sight phase so we're
right there with you. She found some wires that I didn't even know were
there on the outside of my house. Chewed through one of the wires and took
the casing off others. No power outages yet. Put lots of tape on wires and
sprayed with bitter apple. After that I heard her chewing on the kitchen
door frame. I say, "you go girl" at least until I can spray without you
seeing me.

Last night I thought we were bonding pretty good. I decided to read in
living room, rather than watch t.v. which is right near doors to back yard.
Well, this morning I discovered she had peed on the sofa. I saw her on the
sofa, but there would be no way I would have know she was peeing. Anyway, I
think she doesn't know how to tell me she needs to go out. She may have come
to me, but she comes to me to play every 2 seconds....so I don't know which 2
seconds is a potty alert. I know it will all shake down, but it does feel a
little discouraging after having worked so diligently for 2 months. I
know....I know....if she pees in the house, it's my fault!

On the upside, I have enrolled her in Novice Obedience training with our
Parks & Recreation department and she will start on 8/19. That will be a
good thing for both the obedience aspect and the socialization as well. I'm
looking forward to it.

With that said, we are really doing fine. Must get more carrots today.
Will be in touch again soon. Carolyn
