Hunters "trip"

Dear everyone:
Well, we are back from Hunters first camping trip to Crane Prarie Resevor.  I had a bad feeling something would happen, I did not want to go, but my other half insisted.  He was running after our other Golden, and he fell right over.  he was stumbling, crying and getting worse by the minute he
kept wanting to jump into the campfire.  I knew something was very wrong, but Shaun was gone with the truck fishing, so I continued to watch him get worse and worse. He was vomiting, and having what I thought was hallucinations, Barking at nothing, leaping at nothing and walking into the walls in the trailer.  By the time Shaun got back he could barely walk.  I was hysterical to say the very least.  So we immediately took off for Bend, the closest town, praying there was a 24 hour vet, but of course there was nothing, not even a vet to take our call.  So I called Gina, she was the best!!!!! I could not even talk and she calmed me down.  Hunter was still crying, but not as much as before, and he looked like he was getting better.
She said he had ate something he shouldn't so when we went back to camp we dissected his vomit, Gross, I know but I wanted to know what it was he ate, was it chocolate smores from the kids or one of my dad's Dilantin pills.  It was very white mushrooms and that was it.  He continued to get better and better, thank God, and now he is back to his normal wild man self.  I thank God and Gina for helping us through it.  I hope he stays happy and healthy, It was about the scariest thing I have been through and am glad he is better.
I guess Hunter claims to be the first of the Moon litter to actually have made a "trip" there!! (I can laugh now).
Other than that, he had a wonderful time, he was very curious of the water, but would only go in ankle deep, we wouldn't let him run around too much, because of Parvo.  He had his own chair around the campfire which he stayed in and restricted him to the pavement or the trailer.  He is outside running off 4 days of steam and seeming very glad to be home, So am I. <sigh>

On another note, Leigh, can you help me figure out how to scan pictures to everyone, I have a scanner and if someone walks me through it I can do it, but I admit to being one of the computer challenged, but willing to learn.

Gina, THANK YOU!! you are my rock.  I hope everything settles down for you very soon.  If there is anything I can do, please let me know!!

I love all of the posts, it is fun hearing about the babies they are growing so fast!! The beer bottle one was great!! Shauns kind of beer and dog!!
