This raises an interesting question. When is it safe for a puppy to be out
in public around dogs that are unknown with respect to what they might be
carrying? Our vet has Miss Maple scheduled for DHLPP on 6/24, DHLPP/Rabies
on 7/24, and Parvo only on 8/24.
Waiting that long seems like we miss important socialization opportunities.
Sure, Torrey helps to socialize Maple, but when can we bring her to our
friends who have 4 dogs that are exposed to all kinds of random things in
the course of a typical week.
Okay, so if this was in the new puppy instructions, feel free to beat me
over the head with it.
