while he eats...
Hello everyone,
Monza, who should've been named the Moon Devil, is feeling a bit better.
He's eating everyone, oops - that should be everything (ha!), in his bowl.
He's on Amoxicillin for a little infection that apparently caused him to do
frequent, little pee's. He's much more controlled in the house now and is
JUST starting to the get the hang of going to the door and pawing it.
Before this med, I thought for sure he was going to make me even more loony.
So what's his favorite item to "get into" you ask? Nylons. The bugger
LOVES nylons! He clamps down on them so tightly that it takes all my
visegrip strength to pry those jaws apart. He's also humping my other teddy
bear like the first one that I put away. Please tell me the rest are
pre-occupied with nylons & humping too at this early age.
He destroyed his first toy yesterday, and while getting it out his teeth
ripped open my finger. We're not talking a little scratch here, but not
worthy of stitches either.
The piano? Monza should've been Moon Devil Mozart. Thankfully, I have the
old upright piano at my house and so I don't mind him pawing at the keys or
WALKING up and down them. I figure his ability to walk on them and
occasionally sit and paw at them won't last long given how HUGE he's
getting.
Speaking of size, I think he's still got smaller ears, Ilene. Plus, he's
getting DARKER - thanks, Gina!
What's still of interest to him in my house? The bust of Beethoven,
actually. He stares and barks at it while sharpening his teeth on my stone
hearth. I have a picture of a friend's Golden in the living room. Everyday
he goes and pays her homage, too, with a bark & dance routine.
Had to take a break just now - he's was terrorizing. He's eating now, so I
have a moment. Where was I? Oh - dancing. My mom dances with him in an
effort to make him relax. She also sings while doing this & performed the
other night when I had company - UGHHHHH! I swear Monza relaxes because
he's doing everything to block out his excellent hearing and knows she'll go
longer if he doesn't play along.
He's pretty good on a leash. We're working on the heal part.....only doing
what I've read and must get the little guy into some classes. Actually,
it's me that needs the classes. Our county's Kennel Club meets this coming
Tuesday evening, and I'm planning on attending. I'll have to work on
rummaging up a sitter for him.
Food's almost gone.....must close.
