Good Old Kaycee...
Hi Everyone -
Kaycee got ill out of the blue this week and we were concerned but not
really up for a lot of sharing till now. Two rounds of blood work, several
x-rays and an ultrasound of her spleen later - she's almost back to normal
with the help of some antibiotics and some extra TLC. Who knows? But she
did run a fever and since she responded to antibiotics so quickly chances
are she probably has a bacterial infection...
What we have had is a total REALITY CHECK! <smile> For a long time we have
been saying "Kaycee is getting old" but feeling really smug (a good smug)
that she is as sound as she is. We all know they do not live forever and
generally speaking when they get past 10 it's all bonus time - we preach
this... Where Kaycee is concerned the past 14 years really have been so
very special and very precious to both George and I. So while she is still
with us and we are not taking this for granted we would like to just say:
Boy is it great to live with this dog! Thanks for every ones concern this
week that knew momma dog was not well, we are truly blessed to have each
and every one of you in our lives! It's for the dogs and for ALL of you we
truly give Thanks for...
Gina & George
