Thanks Renee,

I don't know how brave I am but I do think that it is possible to make a
difference and as Renee noted this is a large family of dogs that we have
access to. Just got word this evening from Jennifer Masterson of Masters
Goldens that she would participate with sire, grand sire and other siblings
but the real keys are here with the One and Casino litters, in numbers
anyway. Her dog is Runner who is Gidget' sire and SeaJay's grand sire. So
he does play a major role in this as well.

To address the hard to take, well that is why most breeders are not as open
as I am. But myself personally, I can not keep secrets. It's not awful
that Abbey didn't clear eyes but if it's kept a "secret" it becomes ugly
and breeds discontent. I am sure Judy would agree with me on that after
all her years in dogs... Making sure all of you are educated is important
to me.

On a similar topic, Patti & Bill O. who have Goldie, SeaJay's sister, and
Diablo a Sprite son, have now had both dogs x-rayed hips and
elbows. Goldie cleared hips with a fair and clear elbows. We don't have
Diablo's results yet but her vet did not note any issues. Bogey Shinsato
goes in next week for his 2 year exams hips and elbows. These two boys are
brothers and are the whole litter of Sprite bred to Triple. Sprite is OFA
good clear elbows, and Triple is OFA excellent and clear elbows. In the
litter SeaJay came form we now have 4 of the 8 that have been screened all
clear. 50% is a good sampling, but 2/3rd is better. :-))

Anyway I am off to bed! George and I had to go buy a new freezer this
evening as our BIG one took a dump some time since we went and got dog meat
last Wednesday and today at oh 5:30 PM when I discovered partly defrosted
meat... Ugg... Tired!
