Monza & doors

This might be something to try with Monza because.......

the other day Craig and Bernie (the 7 yo Golden) were outside in the woods
next to the house.  Monza could see them and wanted to go outside.  I didn't
want him to be outside for the moment (another story), and so guess what the
little devil did?  He sat and stared at the door handle.  Now, it's a French
door with one of those long horizontal handles.  Yes, you guessed it.  He
jumped at it twice - hitting it both times, but not quite right so it didn't
unlatch.  Another friend witnessed the whole thing as we sat looking at one
another with our mouths agape.

Since the furball learned how to open the screendoor only a month or so
after I got him, I figure the door is next.  If it comes to that, it would
be nice for him to at least ring the bell so I know he's on his way out!  I
think it's a slim to nil chance he'll have the ability to open the door, but
if it happens - even by accident - it's a scary thought for me.  Deadbolt
may be the answer.
