pampered, the Big Guy & snow
Hi everyone,
Ilene, "pampered".....hmm.....you think Monza's a pampered pooch, eh? Well,
when he was too quiet last night in the house, I tracked him down. I
rounded the corner and there he was standing on the dining room table
prouder than a peacock. Let me tell you - he wasn't pampered last night
after that stunt! Little creep.
Diane's Golden has a HUGE head - I'm talking mammoth. From what I recall,
he's rather docile like a huggable giant.
It was sleeting and snowing this morning. Monza was totally entranced and I
WASN'T! It's winter already. I have to rig something up to the back deck
for him to go out & do his duty by himself. I'm thinking one of those leads
attached to a trolley? He has to be tied somehow because there's a road on
3 sides of my house & I don't have a fence.
Does anyone else on this list get snow accumulations of 6 feet plus over the
winter? Counties just west of here got 6 inches this morning and it's
headed this way - it's only a start. Ilene, I think you mentioned some
people in New York snowblowing a long straight path that their dogs could
run in? I can see it now......throwing frozen turds through the snowblower.
They better pass right on through & not get stuck. Gross. If any of you
have winter time suggestions, _please_ share them. Thanks.
I'm off to Escanaba for the day. It's south of here on the shore of Lake
Michigan, instead of Lake Superior. They're the banana belt, but I took the
Jeep just in case. Tomorrow, Monza and I will be riding through the woods
on the Keweenaw Peninsula (it's the peninsula that juts up into Lake
Superior) to put out caution signs for a road rally we're having later this
month. A winter storm warning is in affect for tonight & all of tomorrow.
It should make for an interesting day.
