Eric Eide is a Research Associate Professor and a Co-Director of the Flux Research Group.

Eric's research focuses on engineering trustworthy systems software. Trustworthiness is a function of multiple qualities including functional correctness, safety, security, timeliness, and availability. Systems software includes not only operating systems but also virtual machine monitors, language runtimes, middleware, compilers, interpreters, debuggers, and other tools that provide services to application developers. In seeking to improve the engineering of trustworthy systems, Eric's research focuses on practical approaches to attaining high-quality software.
