I think this should be in the /boot/grub/grub.conf file where you can
add the noacpi or acpi=off to the kernel line, i dont remember the
exact option but it should be placed in that line.

Are you
looking for /etc/modprobe.conf?
As I understand it, modules.conf is for 2.4 (and 2.2) kernels,
modprobe.conf is for 2.6+ kernels

*Subject:* Where is the module config file in FC6?
Hello,
While I am customizing the generic image of both FreeBSD6.2 and FC6, I
could edit the module config file “load.config” in FreeBSD and load the
ACPI module. This is kernel rebuilding, I think. But I can’t find the
standard position of FC6 module.conf. Does anybody give me a clue?
Thanks a lot.
